The most recent Stellantis quarterly air monitoring data demonstrates that the air quality in the area continues to meet the standards for the analytes tested, according to the monitoring station on the Detroit Assembly Complex – Mack property. It meets National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for Particulate Matter smaller than 2.5 microns (PM2.5) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2).
Additionally, ambient air volatile organic compound (VOC) testing continues to show that no VOCs are present in the air at a concentration above, or even close to, their respective Michigan Air Toxics Screening Levels.
In response to a recently released Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) report regarding the results of a limited onsite air sampling on October 14, 2022, Stellantis noted that the testing report continues to support the conclusion that emissions from the Detroit Assembly Complex – Mack property do not pose an adverse impact on the neighboring community. The results are consistent with prior emissions assessments and are within a typical range for an automobile painting facility.
