Stellantis hosts summer intern program for local high school students, recent graduates

Stellantis welcomed 13 student interns to its Detroit Assembly Complex plants this summer for a unique opportunity to dive into various facets of day-to-day manufacturing operations.

The internship program, offered to high school students and recent graduates from Southeastern High School, allowed the next generation of manufacturing professionals the opportunity to explore the industry through immersive learning opportunities. From hands-on experiences in general assembly, quality control and paint, to gaining insights into information technology and human resources, the interns explored a range of career paths within the company.

“Our goal is to educate, inspire and install a sense of pride that’s on display in our plants to future leaders and innovators of this industry,” said Sean Woodall, plant manager, Detroit Assembly Complex – Jefferson. “Their energy and curiosity are contagious, and we’re thrilled to help them build skills that will be valuable no matter where their careers take them.”

This program not only provides invaluable real-world experience for the students but also strengthens Stellantis’ commitment to developing local, young minds through community involvement.
