Stellantis volunteers distribute backpacks at Southeastern High School

Stellantis’ commitment to supporting the communities in which we operate was on full display Sept. 7, as company volunteers gathered at Southeastern High School in Detroit to hand out more than 700 Jeep® branded backpacks filled with school supplies to students.

The backpacks were stuffed by Stellantis volunteers, including some from the nearby Mack and Jefferson plants that make up the Detroit Assembly Complex (DAC).

The event also included free food and refreshments for students and their families, as well as games, a DJ, a photo stand, ice cream cart and display booths from local community partners. Volunteers from community organizations, including the Friends of Parkside and Destined for Greatness, joined Stellantis volunteers in handing out the backpacks, preparing food and entertaining students and other guests.

“We want to thank Stellantis so much for their time and for volunteering. We really, really appreciate it,” said Southeastern principal Maurice El-Amin.
